Loren Kruschke

Welcome to my website. I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Colorado Boulder.

My research chiefly regards political economy. I work to measure partisan gerrymandering, and to evaluate the effect of implementing independent redistricting commissions on election outcomes.

My research blends machine learning with traditional causal inference techniques. These tools apply well to any business setting in which one needs to sift through data in order to find the patterns that drive outcomes. This is particularly useful for data scientist, economist, and researcher roles.
