Loren Kruschke

Welcome to my website. I am a senior data scientist at NRG Energy, specializing in marketing measurement. I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Economics at the University of Colorado Boulder.

During my time in academia, my research chiefly regarded political economy. In particular, I worked to quantify partisan gerrymandering, and to evaluate the effect of independent redistricting commission implementation on election outcomes.

My current work blends machine learning with causal inference techniques. These tools apply well to any setting in which one needs to build models or experiments to quantify the impact of business initiatives.
